The Cleric
Jun. 1st, 2002 03:03 amYears ago, when Patrick and I first became friends, we had a phone conversation in which I gave him complete license to manipulate me. "You enjoy this sort of thing," I said. "We two can be said to truly appreciate the artform. Try to hack my brain; use me in your social experiments. I think we'll both find it incredibly fulfilling, assuming you can handle it, because I'm one of the rare people who can give you feedback without resorting to name-calling."
I don't know whether Patrick remembers that conversation; either way, it's very funny.

I found you through oddment and since I am lurking in your LJ, thought I should say hello.

I do pretend to know you so well
that my playing and planning will all go to Hell.
I seriously do remember that conversation, and I have tried to manipulate you a little bit, but I really do think that you are winning this contest. A while ago I realized that we were both trying to make each other in our own image, and I feel that I have become more like you than you like me. But, HEY, the struggle continues.
