Bus to the End of Civilization
Jun. 5th, 2007 10:09 pmI have returned from my six days of filming and am thoroughly exhausted. I'm excited about some of what we did and worried about some of what we did, and I won't see rushes until Friday. More substantial information about the shoots will come later; at present, I am just trying to relax and not think about the films for a day or two.
As a reward, I bought myself all kinds of foods I don't usually eat, and thoroughly bewildered an English McDonald's by asking for tomatoes on my cheesburger. This took something like four people and about five minutes of explanation. I also bought myself a mint and chocolate ice-cream-on-a-stick, and a big thing of peach and barley yoghurt, and in a fit of surplus budget and sensible politics got elaborate French pastries for the entire camera department and for a screenwriter who helped me with my script.
In my absence, Queen Mary's roses have come in to bloom.
