I'm sick.

I'm also revoltingly cute.

The two are related.

See, when I get sick, I get feverish. This makes me flushed and sparkly-eyed. And I move more gingerly, on account of being, well, sick. I hold things carefuly in both hands. My voice becomes higher-pitched, almost sing-song to spare my sore throat.

End result? I am adorable like a small child, and Patrick, (also sick,) is very keen on getting me things and patting my head. He's one of those people who is attracted to "cute" things, and I belatedly realize that I deliberately seek these people out so as to use my cute-sick thing as a survival mechanism. Patrick's a sucker for it. Val too. And Cate, Chad, Thomas, Dan . . . really anyone I've ever included in my inner circle is markedly succeptible to cute and therefore interested in caring for an ailing me and any children I might eventually have.

Which is damned fortunate, as I have an unusually low tolerance for cute.

Bleh. Must get better, so as to be surly once more.

*smiles* So cute! I like cute things. I'm on cute overload mostly because I went to a Boy Scout thing yesterday and met all the new boys in our troop most of whom are incredibly tiny with those big wide eyes wearing overly pressed uniforms and smiling fit to beat the band. Soooo cute!

I've turned into a dribbling idiot.
