Selling Out?

It's awfully strange to turn around one day and realize you no longer care to save the world, and that you don't mind so much.

i used to think of that as selling out. then i realized that it was actually simply letting go of my pride and hubris enough to realize that i had neither the right nor the ability to save the world. true the desire drives many of us to do great things, but i tend to think in a picture much larger than the one in which i am forced to live my little life.

so, i gave up on saving the world, and instead switched to botany.
