rinueMy sister once said to me "you know, if you pinch that Achilles' heel long enough, you're going to develop a callous." It seems to me that I have finally done it, have willfully sought soul blisters so often that I can no longer be injured there.
Of course, Valancy contends that the one great weakness is what made me human. Perhaps that is why I feel so hollow now.
[A side note to Val, who I know will read this eventually: don't worry about it. I am *fine*. In most ways that matter, this is a relief after many years of tension.]
