Apologia to the Richardson Boys
Jun. 29th, 2002 06:40 pmWill Situation. Over.
We knew this would happen from the beginning, (or at least I did, since I've seen the movie enough times,) and now it has -- sooner rather than later, for which I am thankful. This is life. It has happened to me before, and it will likely happen to me again. Sometimes [usually] things don't work out. It's not unjust, it's not a travesty, it's just the way it is.
And yes, we can all see that I would have been amazing for him, but he can't. And that's not because he's stupid, or because he's pigheaded, but because he completely lacks any basis for comparison. He lives in a box, partly of his own making.
I hope that works out for him.
Anyway, what I'm saying here is that I'm sorry for putting you guys through this, because I know it's given at least five of you some degree of emotional turmoil.
But now. . . Poof. Gone. Didn't pan out. We can all dance about in our skeletons and sing the Ewok song. Life is back to normal. I have cleverly escaped the clutches of girlfriend mode and no longer have to be inconvenienced by the awkwardness of attachment.
Being me, of course, I intend to exploit this to the fullest, either by going vaguely hermity or skipping town.
Wooooooooo hot toddy for Romie.
