For a long time, the celebrity couple I most associated with my own marriage was Bjork and Matthew Barney; that blend of high art and silliness concisely summarized what Ciro and I are about, with a measure of aggressive frostiness, aestheticisation of squishy physiological processes, and coded self-description which relies heavily on symbols.

Since they split up, I have felt a bit bereft.

I guess at this point we're most like Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany. If so, I'm definitely the Paul Bettany.

They're actors and I am basing my idea around their body language on the red carpet. That is why it is nowhere near as satisfying and archetypal.

WRT to Bjork/Barney - yes. Her most recent album, Vulniculara, is about the split, and I haven't been able to bring myself to listen to it yet, although it's good to know it's there for me if I need it. (I don't know what happened, but I take her side.) The album about them getting together, Vespertine, continues to be one of my favorites all-time.
