Today I freestyle embroidered a disembodied cyborg head onto my sister's jean jacket.

And it was one of the best things that ever happened to me.

I'm kind of surprised the cyborg isn't a more prominent embroidery theme; there are stitches named things like "cable stitch" that look like bulky wires. Everybody's always doing plant fronds when a mess of tangled up plugs seems like a more obvious way to go.

That's actually a pretty nifty idea.

I used to do that kind of thing, back when I could embroider. Never on purpose, though.

Well, partway into it, it was definitely on purpose, but at the beginning I can't say I was too sure what direction it was going to go. I'm definitely on the "doodler" end of the needlework spectrum myself.
