I tried eating paper for a bit in kindergarten or first grade because everybody was doing it and claiming it tasted like popcorn. Also that grass tasted like mint. I did my best to go along with this, but my best mostly involved trying it once, dubiously, politely saying "I see what you mean" and then not doing it again.
