I've been up for maybe an hour, and in that time a centemeter of snow has accumulated. This leaves me saying "what business does snow have falling in Texas!" to which it replies "same business you have using the metric system."

So now I have to figure out whether or not to go to class today. I really want to, and I really can't afford to miss the class. But class runs from 2:00 to 9:20, with a 45 minute commute each way and sunset at 6:08. Subfreezing temperatures a certainty, precipitation unrelenting. And I don't know anyone in Denton who I could stay with if things turned ugly.

Although it could be fun to try and find one. ;)

(Elliot is a brilliant pianist/composer who I've known since elementary school. We've never precisely been friends, but we have a kind of understanding.)
