was it you who mentioned not being able to find cute backless slippers? I saw some in a shop on Valencia the other day, velvety-looking with big roses on the toes, that might answer.

I have been trying to find a link to an image of them (they seem to be some local thing) and can't, so the next time I walk past there I'll at least find out a price. It's Valencia Street, so they could be laughably expensive or delightfully affordable.
