Yes, Things Are Pretty Good
Feb. 27th, 2010 03:42 pmA few days ago, I described a camera that I would like, and not too long after that I wondered what Nikon was up to. (Canon makes a fine product, but Nikon is my brand, just like I'd rather use AVID than Final Cut. My preference for Kodak or Fuji varies by project.) And what do you know? In a few weeks, they plan to release the camera I described at the price I thought was reasonable for it.
It's almost like magic, like you can wish for anything and the universe will bring it to you. It's almost like . . . there are these invisible supply and demand curves, and somebody who follows the consumer electronics market could point to a spot on a graph and say, "a product with these specs could be sold at this price to maximize the collective satisfaction of buyers and producers." And somebody in another country could do the same thing, and . . . I'm pretty sure this is all described in The Secret.
On top of that, I had a pork and apple sandwich for lunch yesterday, and today I will eat pasta seasoned with fresh oregano. A family friend has sent antique china serving dishes in celebration of our marriage, along with stories of meals she served on them when she was our age.

Date: 2010-02-27 10:35 pm (UTC)can't wait babe. p.s. new apartment is spectacular. really. despite the fact that it is clearly shoddily built/maintained, it is leaps and bounds beyond old apartment. my joy is transcendant.
garage studio is disappointing, however. though not from a space perspective. it is in a sense the perfect amount of space for ANYTHING including several hot tubs or perhaps a small kidney shaped swimming pool or even a larger than sub-compact vehicle. that said, as a dance studio = fail. i was presupposing that the intragarage driveway would be lovely slab concrete such as underneath a carpet or in an industrial loft or in northpark mall. however it is merely coarse sidewalk pavement and therefore not appropriate in any way for dance. alas. will find solution.
enormous cheap area rugs make excellent housewarming gifts. LOL
CAMERA!
