Things I want but cannot have right now

1. To see Ghost Writer, which is not playing in Dallas, at least as yet.
2. a sno cone. It's probably for the best, since I am cold. But I want one.
I have had maybe three interesting dreams in my life. The rest of the time, I dream about doing exactly the same things I do when I am awake. I take out the trash. I make small talk. I wait in line at the grocery store. Lately, I've been having a lot of dreams in which I discover errands I need to run, make minor errors at work, and have mildly uncomfortable conversations with people. It makes sleeping unpleasant and not very restful. It significantly confuses me about the status of my waking life. It makes time pass slowly, because I will seem to remember four days in the space of two. I get anxious that I've been belated in getting back to people.
Ciro is now referring to the plants as our pets, which makes me think fondly of my pet artemesia, George, who lives in Boston.
