I have received an engraved invitation to a garden party with Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal. Although my best frocks are in Dallas, along with all my hats, on Thursday I will be taking tea with Princess Anne, the best royal (especially since the death of the Queen Mum), and the only one to have competed in the Olympics. Well, I am told I should wear a dress or pantsuit, and that if possible I should come attired in my national costume. I don't think they really want me to arrive in jeans and a cowboy hat, though.
