Zucchini blossoms are showing up at the farmer's market, which is exciting because I'd never eaten them and really enjoy eating flowers. Mom fried some, stuffed with ricotta and mushrooms, and she, Ciro, and I have been browsing cookbooks together to see if there's anything else we want to try next week. (Assuming more blossoms show up. Between Mom and Ciro, we have shelves and shelves of cookbooks.) Mom also pulled out the Salvador Dali cookbook, although it has no squash blossom recipes and in fact she has never made a single Dali recipe in over 35 years of ownership. But we read to each other from the cookbook and are amused.
