The Darlings
Jun. 7th, 2010 05:50 pmYesterday was Jesse's birthday, which meant karaoke. I sang Regina Spektor and was accidentally the hit of the evening; not only was "Fidelity" the favorite song of everyone there, but it was pivotal to the first date that led to the karaoke host's eventual marriage, and one of the men present was ex-special forces and rescued Regina Spektor at some point. (I cannot find collaboration to flesh this out.) Ciro was also a favorite and we were given lists of duets we must learn (including most of the soundtrack for Once, because yes, our voices are pretty much like that.) It's hard on us, being so adorable. It truly is. I continue to think we need to cut an album, but am highly distracted when it comes to the songwriting part.
Writing wise, I continue to be unmotivated. My brain has hatched a plan, and the plan is: "hey, you could bang out the script to Unidentified Objects this month and shoot it and Hayseeds on top of each other, since you'll have the crew and equipment together and it's already cast." No, brain. What I do not have is time. Come up with all the great scenes you want. I refuse to write them down just now.
I expect to waver on this point.
Damnit, why isn't my novel published.
I also finally watched The Mummy and found it fair fabulous.
