rinue | no good will come of this

Today, I woke up really late because my alarm clock didn't go off. I actually woke up at the right time and thought "no, damnit, close your eyes and stay asleep until the alarm goes off so that you don't get jetlag." I wound up staying in bed an extra hour and a half, resolutely not getting up, until someone texted me.

Otherwise, the day's main action was a trek to the National Theatre's costume warehouse with my producer and production designer, to decide on military uniforms. The UN does not have a standard one, as it turns out. I hate being able to do whatever I want.

After that, I had to work way too hard to download winzip, and I still haven't sent out look samples to the crew, which makes me feel terrible, both because I haven't done it yet and because I still have to. Also, Ciro already knows this stuff and in fact found the look samples (and took a few of them), and why is he not here? I hate directing films without him. Hate hate hate. Working on them, okay. Directing, hate. And I am once again not going to be with him for his birthday or our anniversary, which was also true the last time I directed.

On the other hand, I have a geeky crush on Robert Cornelius. He may be dead, but he was fucking sexy.
