It does not make things better that all magazines in the United States seem to be published out of the Northeast, and so feature dozens of articles enjoindering me to spend time outside, playing sports and having picnics. Won't someone please think of the Texans? Shit, I have to worry about getting heatstroke walking the ten feet from my door to my car. At night.

Date: 2005-06-30 02:55 pm (UTC)I had a beautiful moment at work last week when this girl who just transferred to our store from California asked another employee and myself if was always this hot (something like mid 90's). We sort of looked at each other for a minute, and I turned to her and said, "This ... isn't hot."
That moment really never gets old.
