I have returned from England considerably less hostile toward the United States, which was a good part of my intention. It is more necessary for me to travel and vary my cultural surroundings than it is for the vast majority of people; I slide off-kilter when geographically constrained for too long.

I got to meet the gloriously marvelous treehavn , who is beautiful and marvelous and drew copious numbers of cabbage pictures as a child. I now have proof that she exists, in the form of both a photograph and a signature in my notebook, and we have resolved that, should I visit again, we will rob a bank and escape along the rooftops of Bath. Of course, we will be apprehended when we get smashingly drunk in the nearest pub, but such are the vagaries of life.

Aside from this, I visited Circomedia, where I took a whirlwind tour of the school with the juggling instructor. I left with more questions than I had before, and so I have decided to put off applying to any kind of circus school for one year. This will give me time to pull together sufficient funds, and as an added bonus will let me have a go at finding happiness here instead of overseas.

Basically, I remembered that I've been in limbo for most of this year, and therefore I should not count it as being "in Dallas." Of course, I'm still in limbo, but that will end when college (and more importantly, my lease,) does and I can get back to Oak Cliff. In any case, the decision to stay a year means I can still do things like the $500 Road Trip, and making new friends is not a lost cause. Effectively, I've caught sight of The Dream again, and it is intricately linked with porches and iced tea.

I just might be able to pull this one off after all.

W00T! lol. and you should come to New Orleans too! ;) we're trying to gather, and even The Boy said he'd consider. How cool is that?

w00t indeed! I thought we'd called off the N'Awlins trip, because I thought you weren't going to be able to come; I was planning on forcing Ailei to escort me anyway. Huzzah!

I'm doing my internship in the fall and not the summer, so I can take off of work and go if we decide to. :)
