A friend of a friend on tumblr has proposed that we drop Myers-Briggs and all forms of astrology and go back to the tried-and-tested four humors. If you've ever wondered, I'm choleric. Choleric as a boiling cauldron of yellow bile. According to ancient Greek medical tests, this means I will never get rid of my gum problems and also that the best way to calm me down is to offer me a digestif, maybe some antacid and antihistamines.

I would also accept pickles.

Totally coincidental! I did get a request yesterday to do a personality inventory for work so they can hire more of me, but I can't imagine it will be very helpful. The questions on which I answered "yep, always" were mostly stuff like "do you pick up new concepts quickly" and "do you show up to work on time." Pretty sure being really smart and responsible is the stuff that makes me successful on the job, and can't imagine that isn't what they're already trying to select for. (That said, my "eh, not really" answers might be the ones that matter. If they've been looking for cheeful people I don't think they need to bother: it doesn't make any difference.)
