rinueI've had some thoughts about spy fiction lately.
A successful weekend, I think; got various around-the-house chores done, including finally hanging a painting I've been trying to hang for over a year. (There was stuff in the way that was not my stuff, which was not ultimately meant to be in the place that it was. It was complicated.) Went briefly to the beach and stepped into the ocean, which I haven't set foot in since I'm not sure when. Maybe four years ago? (It's just not something one does by accident and is not a thing I tend to feel deliberate about, even though I like both swimming and wading.) The anniversary of Ciro's and my first date is a day before the anniversary of Mom and Dad's first date, so we all went out to Dolce's for a nice meal. A good pause.
That fake trailer we were working on is here and thoroughly antic. To me, it feels like an attempt at a children's movie directed by David Lynch and produced by John Waters, with Jim Jarmusch casting.
