You're a bit more optimistic than me. I almost stop reading after the blurb (worst. blurb. ever). Then I almost stopped reading after the first iteration of the frame story. I only managed to get through it out of a burgeoning sense of professional pride:
"I came into this wanting to despise this work, to dismiss it. Therefore I shall read all of it before I despise it."
