Going Back to Roots

rinueLong day. Slept badly. Took Ciro to endodontologist who tried for more than two hours to give him a root canal, but the roots of his tooth were too curly to be canalled. This means he will need two extractions and implants, giving him cyborg teeth to go along with my zombie jaw (which is also, to be fair, cyborged). Dad has suggested calling in contacts at the CIA to see if we can get ones with secret compartments or antennas.
While I waited for Ciro to be not root canalled, finished reading The Men Who Stare At Goats (sad) and continued reading Tender is the Night (very sad). Have forbidden Ciro from both torture and falling in love with younger women because I am crazy and difficult to live with. Otherwise, will reclaim cyberteeth.
Worked a half day of captioning, had a major Hayseeds production meeting about missed deadlines, video-edited a scene to the point where I don't hate it, researched immigration law for a friend, lifted weights*, and further negotiated the music video. Tired. Deserving of milk and amaretto.
* But not heavy ones, and not very many times, for I am of the spaghetti arms.
