Three Kinds!
Jun. 12th, 2011 01:46 amHuge pimple on my chin. (Read: small, barely noticeable pimple on my chin.) Itches bloody murder.
Dinner party with many friends of my parents, some of whom I know and some of whom I don't. Conversations were mainly about international development and advances in medicine, so it was fairly easy to participate and occupy a relatively pleasant several hours. More importantly, there were three types of pie.
Accomplished very little on account of rain and laziness. (My plan had been to paint more, but not when I can't ventilate. Still liking bedroom color. Still disliking office color.) Formatted the Drollerie manuscript for print, which involved hunting down hundreds of rogue and arcane invisible characters which Word loves to insert. Will give it another eyes over tomorrow, and then it's just a matter of waiting for cover design, which will probably not arrive until Fall.
Still, I would like to get this done, and then I think I will take off editing through mid-August and try to get some writing done, assuming I feel financially comfortable enough to pull back on captioning overtime. If not, might as well keep editing. (It's more about mental space than hours in a day, writing, which is partly why I almost never write while I'm working on a film. Such as now.) And writing in this case probably means cranking out scripts; I'd love to get back to Digby, or some of my short stories, but I need something in hand to take to festivals. You can copyright a script. Ideas have no protection.
