I was out of sorts this morning, so despite waking up with plenty of time I wound up dashing out the door late to work juggling my incomplete lunch and the sweater I hadn't put on yet, with no makeup and a head that looks like a purple puffball. (When describing this to Ciro in google chat, I originally wrote "haid" and then thought, "well, that doesn't look right," and then corrected to "hed" and thought "no again.") I did, however, manage to complete an extremely difficult kakuro puzzle very quickly, because for some reason as my social anxiety gets worse my math, spacial orientation, and hard logic skills go through the roof.
Ciro and I spent the weekend divesting ourselves of furniture; we are now down to an air mattress and boxes full of books. (I still have to pack my closet and the kitchen, neither of which should take very long.) Chad and Merlin helped. (Chad with the lifting and loading; Merlin with making dinner and allowing me to play video games to relax.) I am ill with below-the-belt trouble of the not very serious but incredibly annoying sort.
We are almost ready to send the hard drives to Shuang for editing, so Ciro and I spent last night dubbing a reference track for a few shots where the audio is completely missing, which is interesting because it means I'm reading Jessie's lines as closely to the way she read them as possible, but they are lines that I wrote and which sound like me, such that her performance is to some extent her imitating my manner of speaking. So I'm doing Jessie doing me. And the sync is not perfect (because that would be a waste of time at this stage, since I'll need her to loop it later), so it's like watching back an Italian neo-realist film.
