Sleepwalking
Apr. 14th, 2010 11:28 pmAn odd illusion. In bed reading after a large late dinner*, I could feel my digestion working away, and I began to hear a repeating multi-tone tune that seemed to come from my stomach and paused when I shifted. This was certainly the hooting of a bird outside, and points up the directional insophistication of human hearing, but it seemed for more than half an hour that my stomach was singing and I felt very proud of it.
Alex Mena, my uncle's brother-by-choice, is coordinating the Dallas International Film Festival this year, although I haven't had time to go to any of it. Thankfully, they're planning to rerun the best stuff over the weekend and I may be able to stop in.
Found a rather significant problem with a work project that will move the timeline back, about which I feel somewhat triumphant (as I could have told them so notably earlier, given my own head) and somewhat exhausted, since I would really like things to move foward; they will make my life easier once they work.
* A cheap good steak, one of the advantages of living in Texas. Also the source of my sandwich for lunch today, as the dinner in question was last night.
