Stuff I Did This Week
Sep. 2nd, 2008 09:34 pm- Had some tacos.
- Re-strung my guitar, Glamstring.
- Acted in One Day Only for Rover Dramawerks, where I effectively played the Zeppo in a Shakespeare farce. The director thinks I would make a good Juliet, which is the first time I've been told that. Ciro played the clown character, and was the outstanding star of the whole production in a way that was almost embarassing. It was his first time theatre acting since high school; he's been doing all film. It's strange in a way to give him advice and show him the ropes when he is a better actor than I am. Of course, it is also not strange at all, because I am a director. Just not usually his director.
- Registered a car in Dallas.
- Did producer things - phone calls, e-mails, lots of feeling like a failure for not having everything done even when you are making stuff happen in plenty of time and nobody is criticizing you.
- Watched Obama's speech and felt like I was present for one of the Apollo landings.
