I like the word "long" followed by the word "cold." You get a nice repetition of the L from opposite sides of the O. G and D reflect each other too, being part of the same sound family, but moving from the back of the throat to just behind the teeth. The way the O changes sound recalls a groan falling from head to chest, up to down. Two simple words that reverse direction in every way. A long, cold winter.
