Swallowing Raw
Feb. 11th, 2002 08:58 pm[Note: this was written yesterday evening, and the situation has since been resolved.]
Makeup half off, it looks like I have a black eye. On, beautiful. Off, beautiful. In between, struck with a phantom left hook.
Val is crying on the balcony because she has the misfortune of watching the puppetteer instead of the puppet. It does not matter that she chose the show and paid for the tickets through equal trade; she heard it was a children's programme. Blame must be laid on the marketer. Hanging by the thumbs is the usual procedure.
My clothes are still broken.
I am told that although the job is the hardest, there can be no rest for the caretaker. Managing a family is like holding a hammer above a glass castle. I have a cut under my ring fingernail.
We disagree over whether the mint plant is dying. She says yes; I say no. I would go to her on the balcony, only she is leaning against the door.
