Disaster Strikes
Sep. 11th, 2001 12:06 pmEver since I heard about the tragedy, I've only seemed capable of two thoughts:
1) I have a *lot* of friends in NY and DC.
2) If we do go to war, the ensuing military spending will do more for the economy than the proposed tax cuts. However, this may be a zero-sum game because consumption decreases (and savings increase) during times of crisis and because the world trade center was hit and because the moratorium on airline travel hamstrings commerce.
