jewelry rec
Sep. 17th, 2007 09:13 pmI was going through my bookmarks, doing a bit of fall cleaning, and I found a link to a jeweler I think a number of you would like: Hawk and Owl. Bill Fedoriuk is an artist out of British Columbia, and he tends to work with unusual semi-precious stones and art nouveau swoops of silver. As well as what's on the site, he does custom work. I really like the way he uses metal, and the way each piece is able to exploit the shapes of a particular stone. I especially love this recent moonstone pendant. The shapes in his work remind me of music and atoms and elves, which is probably the most new-age thing you'll ever hear me say.
So if you're looking for nice but not too expensive artist-made jewelry from Canada, check him out.
