Supposedly non-biting ants bit the fuck out of my feet while I was sleeping a few days ago, so I've pretty much been layed up on account of it hurts to walk and it looks like I have feet mumps. The fun thing about this is that Ciro has given me some stockpiled prescription pain medication, which I am not supposed to take with alcohol but which I have been taking with alcohol. It's been a pretty clear object lesson in the way pain works insofar as the gate control theory (Melzack and Wall, 1962). I can feel the gate, y'all. Also, as if the movie The Saragossa Manuscript would not have already been awesome, it was in fact even more awesome than that. Let's all get together and take drugs more often. Or just me.
