Packed into an unventilated cinema with most of the school's population whispering cattily and eating jellybeans while term films were lovingly torn apart by a critical panel, everyone was thinking the same thing: all of the films severely lack evidence that Voldemort has risen again.

He could have been a customer at the laundromat. He would have fit right in to the film about a baptism. When a teacher said the father in "Inheritance" was undercharacterized, this was only a polite way of observing that the actor blatantly had a nose and was clearly not Ralph Fiennes.

It went beyond story and casting - not once did a character glow with unearthly light. Not one tree looked ominous. Cinematographers and production designers: WTF. Are you filmmakers or not? Come on.

Hey, do you think you'll be there in December? I'm planning (hoping/saving) a week then. I'll need to spend a couple days in Aylesbury, but the rest in London doing nothing but 1 or 2 shows a day.

Honestly, I don't think so. But that could change. It kind of depends on how far along Italian passport processes are. I'll let you know closer to the date, and would love to see you then.
