Whrrrrrrrrrrrgh

I'm taking a break from landscaping, as I have been standing in the midsummer Texas sun for the past two hours (albeit swathed in shade, several layers of sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat wider than my shoulders). It's not that I don't like laying grass, it's just that I'd much rather do it at night. Now I'm all dizzy and sick to my stomach. Gotta say that after all is said and done, I'm giving a big thumbs down to sunstroke. I mean, it's got these exciting flashy lights, but it's all glitz; underneath, you just feel empty and kind of nauseated.

I think I'll just go curl up under a rock and die.

The Camp Counselor Takes over

Don't forget to drink plenty of water. That'll keep you from getting overheated. And when you swath yourself in shade, make sure your skin can still breathe, that'll help keep you cool too.

I used to be a camp counselor at an ivernight, outdoor summer camp. I know all the things you're supposed to do to keep cool. Have fun laying grass. //grin//

Later,
Coyote.
