Head. Hit. Keyboard.

There is a hospital that removed a man in New Jersey from dialysis because he was in a persistent vegetative state and had been for years and was starting to decompose in the bed. The doctors felt it was inhumane, and not simply a bad use of resources, so they removed dialysis over the objections of the family. The family is suing because . . .

"Who are they to play God? Only God should decide when someone should die."

Oh my darlings. God did not give that man dialysis. God made him decompose.

Ashes to ashes, and so forth.

For some reason this reminds me off women who go though really intensive fertility treatments, and then claim they don't want to selectively reduce because 'god thought I should have this many kids'. Um, no, god thought you should have NO kids. Science got you knocked up.
