no alarms and no surprises

Today, I finished the dub, which means I balanced and mixed the sound and output it to a format that can be played alongside the print in a theatre. So if I get hit by a bus, the film can still be shown as I intended it; the film is finished. I will endeavor not to be hit by a bus, nonetheless.

We did the dub out at Shepperton, in their fanciest theatre, where I was brought many cups of tea and various fruits, pastries, chocolates, ritz crackers, magazines, and gingerbread men. But the best part is that a tour came through, and they asked if they could watch part of my film, and I had no hesitation about saying yes. Afterward, they were so curious about the ending that they asked for details about the screening. It's exciting to have something I'm so sure is good that I don't have to worry about showing it to anyone.
