I flew to San Diego and home February 21-24, and I wiped down my seating area and used a lot of hand sanitizer wipes. But I didn't wear a mask, and in San Diego I ate out in so many restaurants and went to so many museums and galleries... By mid-March, I drove my friend's son all the way to the airport instead of dropping him off at the ferry, so he wouldn't have to take the train there, and I made him take a handful of wipes and things, but we still weren't using masks. (I made the drive to and from the airport in record time, without flooring it, so that I went home on the same boat I'd come over on, because there was no traffic, our state had shut down already.) None of us got sick, but in retrospect I think we were all very lucky and that that early advice not to wear masks was one of the top-three stupidest pieces of medical advice to happen in the modern medical era.
