I have thought about it, although with three reservations, namely:
1. It would to a degree make public the private life of me and (more significantly) my family in ways that could subject them to scrutiny and embarrassment. (People rightly don't tend to want to listen to parenting advice from people who can't or won't demonstrate "I've been there and am fallible.")
2. There's still a "women's topics" ghetto that I find marginalizing, although I think this is changing as more fathers become primary care providers. I've considered, if I had time, which I don't, starting a zine/think tank called "fourth wave feminism" to address this and other topics.
3. Since I don't read parenting blogs, I have no idea which would be worth submitting to.
I do think I need to start submitting to and/or applying to blogs and magazines with the possibility of fleshing out some of my posts, just because I think I've gone too far in the direction of hermitage and should probably stay more engaged with the rest of the world. So if you have something or somewhere specific you think I should look at, please let me know - it would be more than welcome.
