the least lonely place in the world
Today was official For God's Sake, Romie, Take Care of Yourself Day. Which obviously means books, chocolate, mushrooms, and the nearest graveyard. Salmon would not have been out of place, but it was pricey. It's just coincidence that the nearest graveyard happens to be Abney Park - a welcome coincidence.
I love graveyards, the plants and the monuments and the clarity of the love people feel for other people. I'm glad I'm alive, and I want to stay alive as long as possible, but it's nice to know that one day, I'll get to stop. It's nice to know that I can leave behind beautiful things. It's equally nice to know that those things will eventually be worn down by rain, and covered up with ivy. I feel tremendously honored to be here.
Human beings. We do all right.
