Does Not Fear the Yetis in Rio
Yesterday (when I couldn't access the internet due to network problems):
Although each floor of ISH has something labeled "kitchen," it is actually a small room with two microwaves and a kettle. So I can make cup noodle, I guess. It's not like I had cookware anyway. I heated up a microwave dinner (which was awful) and had to eat it with chopsticks because I don't have a fork. I've been spreading my Nutella (not actually Nutella, but an off-brand) using a defunct student ID. In my notebook, in large print, I wrote "Get Knife/Fork/Spoon." An hour later, my economist roommate came home and announced that the restaurant she manages (who knew) is closing, and, by the way, would I like anything?
Today:
There was a point when the room was occupied by three girls, on three computers, talking to three boyfriends, in three languages. Today and yesterday, I made various notes for entries, and perhaps tomorrow I will type them out. But I am very sleepy.
