It has gotten cold again, which is preventing me from wearing my cute new jacket. Ciro has offered various stopgap solutions whereby I wriggle around and get warm on my own, and the wearing of the jacket is incidental, but I think these are less an attempt to solve the underlying problem and more a new method Ciro has found of amusing himself.

I have instead had to fall back on my heavy winter coat, which is lined with lambswool. The physics students in the audience will recognize lambswool as one of the things you rub rods with to make them build up an electrostatic charge. I, Romie, am in this case acting as the rod. When I get home, I have to press up against the metal refrigerator and discharge myself before attempting to hug anyone. Otherwise... ow.

how do you feel about courtney?

i think my even asking that question probably reveals a certain bias that i've developed in an anti-courtney direction, and while that is probably true, i also would like for it not to be, but i'm beginning to wonder whether that's inevitable, and whether it was always inevitable, as my sister and megan would probably claim, that she would break my heart and my trust as she may have finally done.

I've been hanging out with Sarah, so it's pretty easy to guess that I'm about as anti-courtney as it gets.

But, then, you didn't ask me.

I kinda want to punch her in the face. On the other hand, that might be a big improvement to her face, so I think I won't.

i hang out with sarah, too, but ... i don't know ... for a while, i thought i could keep loving them both, and what's more is this is really about me and courtney, more ... so ... ugh. it's like, hell.

I don't know what to think, honestly. I always liked her a lot, but I haven't talked to her since the big freak out, nor do I know what's going on between the two of you. It's part of why I haven't finished editing the music video, even though we shot all of it - I'm not sure what the situation is. The other reason is that I hate editing, so any excuse, really.

oh, by all means, finish it and send it to her. she'll reject it because she won't get it, or she'll think it's great, but that no one will get it, and either way it won't be ready for vh1 and she'll say thank you, and it'll never see the light of day.
