I gotta go to work in 3 minutes, so I wasn't able to finish reading. From what I gather, it sounds like you and Ciro have hooked up already. I'm not sure if you have any idea what his perspective might be on the matter, I'm sure he's explained it vividly, but in the time that I've known him, he has always been looking for someone that is his equal, that he wouldn't just keep around for the sake of having someone. He's held out for the right person a majority of his life (I mean, there's times he got desperate, I'll admit). One thing he said to me went something along the lines, 'why is it that women who like me aren't my type but women I like are too good for me?'

So to say this relationship is perfect, as Chad had put it, is quite fitting. You may believe in destiny, and that faith may be well-placed. I may not know you well, but I do know Ciro pretty well and I can say that I hope for the best for you two.
